The 3rd Annual Beasts Of The Bay Strength Challenge was held indoors at the Santa Clara Convention Center, in Santa Clara, CA with the Evolution Sports Expo.

104 athletes registered for the event.

We congratulate Gabe Kassel for repeating as the Open Heavyweight Men division champion for the 2nd year in a row and for also representing the Bay Area amazingly well at the 2018 Strongman Corporation National Championship taking 3rd place at his first nationals, which was only his 3rd strongman competition in his entire career earn a spot at the Arnold Amateur contest and representing the Bay Area before the world in Ohio. He was able hold off a very hungry Gary Westrope by half a point. Gary and Gabe are both amazing strongman competitors that will do this sport proud in the coming years in their careers. Special shout out to David Harrison and Nick Biebel who have both attend every Beasts Of The Bay Strength Challenge since we launched. Also Eric Ritter who’s competing with us a 2nd year and will be representing the Bay Area at Strongman Corporation Masters National Championship and Robert Lira who competed with us again this year for a second time and will be representing at the Strongman Corporation National Championship in the Lightweight Division. Finally shout out to all the ladies and masters athletes that joined us for the very first time this year.

Congratulations to all the 1st time athletes the competed with us and welcome to the Strongman family!

Notice: Saturday June 29, 2019 were are launching the Inaugural “The San Francisco Pride Strength Challenge”. This is a non-qualifying event (we will grow it into a qualifier in the future) to create a platform for the first ever gender inclusive sporting event in history. This is event for the queer community and allies alike, this is were we celebrate humanity and strength in all forms.
