On January 11th, North Carolina started the new year STRONG at the New Year New PR competition in Jacksonville. The competition – promoted by Josh Dargis and Jennifer Lyle at HomeTown Gym – hosted 55 total athletes and a kids competition.

Highlights included a Strongman Corporation record deadlift int he 80kg Men’s class, and 17 athletes earning bids to Nationals and Masters Nationals.

The kids participated in an overhead medley with a pony keg, sandbag, axle, and ammo can; and a “car” deadlift. They all crushed it!

The grown-ups completed an overhead medley of their own (log/axle/circus dumbbell), as well as a max deadlift, rising yoke medley, sandbag/keg/sled medley, and max stone load.
