Memberships can be purchased online on the day of the competition, but we recommend purchasing the membership 3 days prior so we have time to approve your membership, to make check-ins easier.

Men’s Weight Classes:

u175 – 175.4 lbs and under (80kg intl)
u200 – Between 175.5 lbs and 200.4 lbs (90kg intl)
u231 – Between 200.5 lbs and 231.4 lbs (105kg intl)
u265 – Between 231.5 lbs and 265.4 lbs (120kg intl)
Open – 265.5 lbs and above

Women’s Weight Classes:

u125 – 125.4 lbs and under (57kg intl)
u140 – Between 125.5 lbs and 140.4 lbs (64kg intl)
u160 – Between 140.5 lbs and 160.4 lbs (73kg intl)
u180 – Between 160.5 lbs and 180.4lbs (82kg intl)
Open – 180.5lbs and above

Please note many competitions, such as Strongman Corp Nationals, have a 0.4lb weight allowance to accommodate for clothing requirements at weigh-ins.

If there is 1 athlete in a class, the class can either be merged with another class, or the athlete can compete and earn an invite by completing at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards set forth by the promoter.

If there are 2-4 athletes a class, 1st place gets an invite to Nationals.

If there are 5-9 athletes in a class, 1st and 2nd place gets an invite to Nationals.

If there are 10+ athletes in a class, 1st through 3rd place get an invite to Nationals.

Competitions 3-6 weeks before Nationals can qualify for the upcoming Nationals OR the nationals the following year. If a competitor elects for their qualification to apply to the upcoming Nationals, they will need to qualify for the Nationals of the following year separately.

Competitions less than 3 weeks before Nationals qualify for the Nationals of the following year.

All other competitions qualify for the upcoming nationals.

At some contests this is allowed, but most events have an entry deadline. Please check the entry form or contact the promoter directly.

You must be at least 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 years of age must have permission from their parent or guardian, and their Parent or guardian must register the athlete.
Pro-Am events are high-level competitions that feature select divisions where professionals and amateurs compete together for titles and prize money. These events also provide amateur athletes with the opportunity to earn their Pro Card.

First time competitors can compete in the Novice or Open division in most Strongman Corporation licensed events, including local shows, State Championships, Regional Championships, and Pro-Ams. 

Nationals, the Arnold Amateur World Championship, America’s Strongest Man and Woman, and any “invitationals” require qualification.

Pro Cards are earned at Strongman Corporation Nationals, the Arnold Amateur Strongman World Championship, and designated Pro-Am competitions. Please check with the competition to see what the pro-card qualification requirements are for that particular competition.

Strongman Corporation Return Policy:

All Strongman Memberships ARE NOT refundable.

Closeout sales items are not eligible for a refund.

You may return your items within 30 days of purchase date. You have the option to receive a refund for the original purchase price (not including shipping costs) of your returned item or exchange the item for a different size. All returns, exchanges, and shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. The original purchased item must be sent back, and in our possession,in order to honor an exchange/ refund. Please allow 5-7 business days for your return/ exchange to be fully processed.

 

Returns:

In order to receive a refund for your return, you must return your item in new/ unworn condition. The returned item will be evaluated (at the discretion of Strongman Corporation) to ensure “new/unworn” condition before a refund will be issued. Be aware that any wear and tear from use may prevent your item from qualifying for a refund.

 

Exchanges:

Your item may be exchanged for a smaller or larger size. In order to exchange an item, please send us an email with your order number and the correct sizing information. Once we receive the original purchased item in new/ unworn condition, we will send out the new item.

The novice division is designed for athletes who are early in their strongman and strength training journey. If you’re uncertain whether the novice division is the right fit for you, it’s a good idea to consult with the competition promoter or the Strongman Corporation State Representative in your area. They can help you determine the best division for your skill level.

Advancing Beyond Novice: If you have previously competed in a strongman event as a novice and placed in the top three in a division with 8 or more athletes, top two in a division with 5-7 athletes, or won a division with 3-4 athletes, you are no longer considered a novice. In such cases, you will be required to compete in the open division moving forward.

No, anyone can compete in an open divisions. Please check with your promoter to see if Novice or Open is a better fit for you.
