1. What Is A State Representative
State Representatives – sometimes called “Reps,” “State Reps,” or “State Chairs” – are individuals who represent Strongman Corporation at local and regional events around the country. They have a proven track record of successful competition promotion and a desire to serve and grow the strongman community at a higher level.
State Reps assist promoters in the lead-up to events and in day-of event execution; and they communicate needs and questions back to Strongman Corporation HQ on behalf of promoters and athletes. State Reps make sure that promoters are supported, athletes are taken care of, and competitions under the Strongman Corporation banner meet the organization’s standards.
State Reps also participate in regular meetings and on committees within Strongman Corporation to help guide the direction of the organization and support high-level competitions like Nationals and the Arnold Pro/Am.
2. Who are the Current State Representatives
You can find all the current State Representatives on the “About Us” page.
Note that they are listed by home state, but Reps can serve in any state. This means your nearest State Rep might be in a neighboring state.
3. State Representative Responsibilities
State Representative Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- Being present at local competitions to assist the promoter and ensure the competition meets Strongman Corporation standards
- To remain an active State Representative, it is mandatory to host or act as a representative for at least one competition per calendar year.

- Participating in periodic online Promoter Meetups to provide support and feedback for local promoters
- Taking an active role in growing and bettering the overall strongman community

5. How to Become a State Representative
State Representatives must, minimally, meet the following qualifications:
- Promote at least one successful licensed Strongman Corporation competition with a Strongman Corporation State Representative present or an approved waiver from Strongman Corporation HQ
- Have experience judging and volunteering at local competitions
- Be an active participant in their local strongman community for a minimum of 1 year
The following qualifications are not required, but strongly bolster a candidate’s application:

- Successful promotion of multiple licensed Strongman Corporation competitions
- Experience promoting at the Regional level

All State Representatives also must complete a background check through Checkr. None of the private information, such as Social Security Number, comes back to Strongman Corporation; we just receive a “clear” or high-level details if items come up. Any records of sexual abuse, violence, or anything that could impact the safety and security of our members would cause a rejection.
Interested candidates should email the Director of Amateur Promotions, Katie Feeley, at katie@strongmancorporation.com with details on their region and qualifications. Katie will respond to set up a call.
