To compete in any NAS Level 1 or Level 2 competition in 2016, Amateur Athletes (men and women age 18 and older) need to have a current NAS – Amateur Class Adult Membership. Current members require renewal of their membership for each calendar year.
North American Strongman Inc. (NAS) is the premier amateur strongman corporation in the world. Our mission is to provide quality strongman contests for the public while ensuring fair treatment for the competitors. We want to make sure our athletes have plenty of opportunities to use his/her membership. Amateur status is any strongman that does not currently have a recognized Pro Card by ASC (American Strongman Corp) or any competitor not qualified or ranked as one of the top professional competitors. The NAS National Heavyweight and Lightweight Champion will receive a Pro Card. (He must turn pro or sit out of competition for one year). All pro 105k athletes are eligible to compete as a heavyweight amateur only in any sanctioned NAS contest. They must have a current NAS Inc. card. All athletes must qualify for the NAS National Championships.
